Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro in the northern reaches of Tanzania, is covered not in clouds, but in glacial ice and is the highest peak in Africa (19,341 feet). Some scientists report that its snows are melting and in 15 years it could be bald. So better make that climb soon!
The climb is not technically difficult but it is a very serious one indeed because of the weather and altitude, all good reasons to have a good guide. Not all who attempt the climb and hike make it to the magnificent summit often because of Altitude Sickness and so all attempts must not be rushed and given plenty of time.
